Solving Android connectivity problems

OK, so you're on Android and you're trying to connect to your Vector Watch, but are encountering some problems.

Here are a few steps that you should take to establish your connection.

Step 1. Turn Bluetooth off and on

Go to settings / bluetooth and make sure it's on. And since you're there, let's turn it off and on again. Sometimes it might get stuck.

Now get back in the VectorWatch app and check to see if it's connected. If not, please continue with step 2 bellow.

Step 2. Clear Bluetooth data

On your phone, go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Bluetooth Share or Bluetooth -> Clear Data.

Now get back in the VectorWatch app and check to see if it's connected. If not, please continue with step 3 bellow.

Step 3. Restart the VectorWatch app on your phone

On your phone, open your app manager and make sure that the VectorWatch app is not running. If it is is, please stop it.

Now reopen the VectorWatch app and check to see if it's connected. If not, please continue with step 4 bellow.

Step 4. Unpairing on your phone

If there is any phone around you that used to be paired with your Vector Watch, please go on that phone into Settings / Bluetooth and make sure you have unpaired it from your watch.

Step 5. Force-stop the VectorWatch app on your phone

On your phone, open your app manager and make sure that the VectorWatch app is not running. If it is is, please stop it.

Step 6. Unpairing on your watch

On your watch, hold the upper & middle button for 5 seconds. This will open the watch settings menu. In that menu, please select the "Unpair" option. Once selected, press the upper watch button to confirm unpairing, then select "Back" from the menu to go back.

At this point, the watch ID should appear on the watch screen:

Step 7. Make sure you're running the latest version of the app

Open Google Play, search for "VectorWatch" and make sure you have updated the app to its latest version.

Step 8. Open the Vector Watch app and re-connect to your watch

We're almost there! All you need to do now is simply open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to re-connect to your watch.

Still not working?

If things did not go as expected and you are still not able to connect to your watch, please replace the following steps:

Step 1. Instead of turning BT off and on, please restart your phone

Step 7. Instead of updating the app, please uninstall it and install it again.

Step 6. Instead of unpiaring, select "Factory Reset" on the watch.
